From exchanging experience to European response capacity.

For UVSAR AID, Erasmus+ is a tool for institutional development and transferring expertise to the community. Our projects bring together non-formal education, first aid, disaster management, psychological support, and technology within a coherent training pathway.

Our portfolio includes the completed youth exchange “Voices of Tomorrow – Youth Shaping Democratic Change”, together with two approved initiatives for 2026–2028: “Be Prepared, Don’t Panic!” and “REACT-72”. Together, they connect democratic education, emergency preparedness and the development of European resources that can be tested, evaluated and transferred across different national contexts.

Voices of TomorrowYouth Shaping Democratic Change · 2025

  • completed project

Completed in 2025, “Voices of Tomorrow – Youth Shaping Democratic Change” was an international youth exchange coordinated by UVSAR AID and dedicated to democratic education and civic participation. The main mobility took place in Galați from 22 to 29 September 2025, following a preparatory visit organised from 31 August to 3 September.

The project brought together 48 people from Romania, Türkiye, France and Hungary, including young people with fewer opportunities, group leaders and one facilitator. The non-formal learning programme included election simulations, debates, argumentation exercises, leadership and advocacy activities through which participants explored democratic mechanisms, citizens’ rights and practical ways to influence public policy.

The partnership brought together UVSAR AID, Düzce Unity in Diversity, Association des Relations Culturelles and Tudatosságért és Környezetért Alapítvány. Through intercultural exchange and mixed-team activities, the project created a European learning environment where critical thinking, responsible participation and community engagement were addressed as practical tools of active citizenship.

Be Prepared,
Don’t Panic!BPDP · 1 April – 31 December 2026

  • 36 participants
  • 6 countries
  • Galați
  • approved project

“Be Prepared, Don’t Panic!” develops youth workers’ ability to understand risks, make sound decisions, and act in an organized manner during crises. The main mobility, scheduled in Galați from 11 to 16 August 2026, brings together six participants each from Romania, Türkiye, Ukraine, Georgia, Morocco, and Albania in an international setting for learning and exchanging practices.

The program combines sessions on disaster management, evacuation planning, and the relationship between climate change and increasing risks with hands-on first-aid workshops, simulations, leadership exercises, and stress-management techniques. Its intercultural dimension enables comparison of how different communities prepare for emergencies and turns each partner’s experience into a shared resource.

The intended results go beyond the mobility itself: at least 70% of participants will be guided toward obtaining first-aid certification, while the materials, digital tools, and tested methods can later be used in partner organizations’ activities. Each participant thus becomes a multiplier able to bring accurate information, a culture of prevention, and responsible behavior back to their own community.

REACT-72Resilient Empowerment, Action for Crisis Transformation · 2026–2028

  • 18 months
  • 4 partner countries
  • 420+ young people
  • approved project

REACT-72 is a partnership coordinated by UVSAR AID together with organizations from Latvia, Türkiye, and Bulgaria, created to professionalize youth work in the context of natural disasters and their effects on physical and mental health. Implemented between September 2026 and February 2028, the project brings together operational experience, first-aid education, academic validation, and expertise in psychosocial resilience.

At the heart of the project is the co-creation of four modules: First Aid, Psychological First Aid, Earthquake Preparedness, and Climate Disaster Preparedness. They will be developed through transnational mobilities, tested in all four countries, and integrated into a digital platform with interactive resources, crisis simulations, and self-assessment tools, making the learning process accessible, measurable, and easy to replicate.

REACT-72 aims to train at least 420 young people and strengthen youth workers as local multipliers of resilience. Guides, video materials, a documentary, local sessions, and online events will broaden access to the results, while open resources will enable organizations, educational institutions, and communities to continue using the model after funding ends.

A developing ecosystem

Interconnected projects designed for long-term impact.

Alongside implementation of the two approved projects, UVSAR AID has submitted other initiatives for evaluation, designed to connect with the results of BPDP and REACT-72. Without anticipating funding decisions, the strategic direction is clear: the progressive development of a European ecosystem in which education, technology, prevention, and operational experience reinforce one another and can, over time, create real change in communities’ response capacity.
